You may find that I tend to write more on this than on any other. Why am I so interested in this topic? I cannot answer that except to say that I am more intrigued by religious beliefs than I am dedicated to any particular faith. The question remains. Who are we really? I have asked this many times and many times I come back to more questions. Why do we sometimes feel that we have to suffer to gain a clearer understanding of our life? Why do we feel that sacrifice is required?

I am more in tune with those who prefer to question than blindly believe the word of another. They call this faith but what is faith? Why do religions demand so much for their faith? Why do Christians for example have the right to judge any not of their faith? What makes a Christian good? If a Christian is the only 'good' person on this earth, what of all the rest of us? What of other belief systems? What happens to them?

I grew up with my parents searching for the answers themselves. Searching for a 'family' to belong to. Jehovah's Witnesses was one that my grandmother believed with and in the end they destroyed her and practically 'evicted' her from their Church because she divorced her husband! She was a faithful servant and they shunned her because of their beliefs! Not to mention the chosen 144 who will 'rule with God' and judge each and everyone of us accordng to our lives. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against anyone committing to their faith because that is what is right for them but when they impose this onto others who cannot choose, I see the faults that lie within the faith. Jehovah's Witnesses do not partake in the ways of the world and therefore do not celebrate Christmas or Birthdays. Rather they celebrate the life of anyone at death. They believe that when we die, that is the end of it and we are returned to the earth from 'whence we came'. That is until the promised resurrection. Jehovah's Witnesses teach that only they meet scriptural requirements for surviving Armageddon, although God is the final judge.

Mormons believe the Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ and expect you to marry within the faith. Their founder practiced polygamy and married many times, upt to 30 women at one time even while they were still married to other men until it was seen as wrong in the eyes of society. Their Bible was delivered differently and with different Prophets to the commonly known King James version of the Bible. My family tried this belief too and truly there were many wonderfully, kind people and I know there are wonderfully, kind people in all forms of religions and all walks of life yet what compels us to worship a certain God or Gods? Research just a little of the habits of these religions and you may find some startling beliefs.

Scientology is a body of beliefs and related practices where the founder, a Sci-Fi novelist, actually revealed the story of Xenu the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who, 75 million years ago, brought billions of his people to Earth in a spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes and killed them. Official Scientology dogma holds that the essences of these many people remained, and that they form around people in modern times, causing them spiritual harm. However in saying that, Scientology teaches that people are immortal spiritual beings who have forgotten their true nature and we can learn a lot from this form of belief. Use your own research skills to learn more.

Most religions have borrowed from Ancient Egyptian and pagan beliefs, modifying them to suit their own ideas; then, in order to rule the people, crucify those from who they stole the ideas from in the beginning, naming them witches and the like. The new leaders called them false religions worshipping false Gods and yet without the history left behind by these people who recorded their lives so remarkably well in for example the great pyramids of Egypt, where would we be? The would-be leaders, devised and developed their own ideas from these earlier beliefs then revealed that only they had the power to converse with the all mighty creator! How wrong they were.

Are we lucky to live now in this time of so-called religous toleration which is only beginning it's long journey to understanding? What does the future hold? Where are we going and what will we find when we arrive? More of the same ignorance and misunderstanding?

Conspiracy theories and secrets held deep in religious whispers have been developed and engineered through history to entice the reader into a game of cat and mouse. The game takes place through the pages of history and across the globe however I have found within these intriguing games, and I call them games because they involve the reader quite amazingly, a journey of self discovery. In the process, you may find your own faith in life. Be brave and ask your questions and the answer will be revealed in a most unique way.

We are fortunate and no matter the colour of our skin or the language we speak, ultimately our faith is the same. It draws us closer to our family, our universal family and that makes us belong. Wherever your faith lies, use it to help the lives of others and never, but never, force your belief on another. Your faith speaks for itself in your actions. "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you!" Right or wrong is only the perception of another however, if you live by the rule that to be kind, judge not another and enjoy life without hurting another then you will live a wonderful life!

Explore our World

The natural world is a wonder and a vision to behold. Avatar did this for me! The wonder the excitement and the all together creation of the incredible world of the Na'vi were breathtaking.

Most movies convey a message to the viewer and it is received in various ways. The Message was loud and clear in Avatar! STOP KILLING OUR WORLD!

We need to step back and look at the beauty that surrounds us and begin to live simply again. Are we building a better tomorrow with our technology while being blinded by power? The true answer to survival for us all is to share the resources of the whole planet with more than just the few!
Do yourself a favor and watch this magnificent movie. Release the butterfly, and it will carry your wish to the Great Spirit, who alone knows the thoughts of butterflies.By setting the butterfly free, you are helping to restore the balance of nature, and your wish will surely be granted."

The butterfly is a reminder to make changes when the opportunity arises. Butterfly Symbolism by Vlinder

Cultural myth and lore honor the butterfly as a symbol of transformation because of its impressive process of metamorphosis. The symbolism of the butterfly in connection with the soul tells us that we are on the same journey, however we have the benefit of an extended period in which to develop and transform through experience. There are many twists and turns in our journey and many interruptions, but if we stay true to ourselves, as the butterfly does through its journey, we are certain to emerge from the cocoon as the butterfly and into the wonder of life!

ButterflyPhilosopher

Creation - AllAboutCreation.org

Creation. The question of where life began has been the topic most talked about, debated about and dreamt about for eternity. Nobody really knows. We study life and add to the debate from our own perspective and if we are inspired by God we will of course recieve the information and add our own flavour simply because we are human. Can anyone honestly tell us how it is, without a hint of judgement, or emotion affecting the result? Can Jesus really be believed because he said so? Can we afford not to believe him? Will we endure the flames hell if we don't? Should we fear God? Who is God? Who has the right to claim to talk with God? Would we do better if we praised life remembering to hurt no other then to spend our life inside the confines of the rules associated with so many man-made religions?

Thousands of people think about these things everyday and express their thoughts for the world to see. I see these people as inspirational just because they ask the questions and reflect on life and share their thoughts.

Here are a few sites I've found that ask the relevant questions... you either believe... or you don't. The choice is yours.

Remember always to smell the roses, see the sunset, listen to nature, touch someones heart and taste life!

coffeehousetheology.com

Creation - AllAboutCreation.org

newagethinkers.com

Contemplating the existence of God

I have contemplated God in many ways. I have searched my whole life for the meaning and purpose of my life. My thoughts were always 'are we born only to struggle through life then die or is there a higher purpose?'. I searched and searched for the answers especially in religion but nothing rang true. I felt I was only being brainwashed into believing another persons view of the concept of reality through their own perspective and contemplation of God. That is until the day I came across a puzzle book. Researching the information that unlocked the code led me on a wild exciting journey of self discovery and transformation that blew my mind. Finally I was awake! Finally, and although I had always believed in God, I began to fit the pieces together. As hard as I tried, I could not picture God in human form let alone 'the father'. Suddenly, I was awake with a different view and this one feels true to me. I had also found my purpose.
Our purpose is to be all that we can be to enhance humanity in this life and if we find peace in the church community or as individuals honoring creation in our own way, then so be it and if we make mistakes then we must not crucify ourselves for them but learn from them to improve ourselves. I realized that I had to keep learning. Everyday! I realized that it is ok to love myself, not vainly, but with compassion and understand that I wasn't alone. I learned that to understand God, I have to first understand myself. What makes me tick and what makes me so different from everyone else around me? Why am I unique?

My research led me to another book. 'The Secret' and before you all start groaning, think about the reality of it. Our mind is an absolutely wonderfully amazing thing. Apart from our 'functional brain' our mind allows us to be creative, to construct unbelievably enormous buildings, bridges, or tunnels underneath cities or water. We can build spacecraft and travel to other planets. The technology that surrounds us today is positively incredible and all because someone put their mind to it and made it a reality!

I am in awe of the power of the mind and be it a God or merely the 'god' within, I am in awe of the power I have, that each of us have, that make us capable of creating these magnificent wonders. I will always be grateful to the people who devised that little puzzle book and while I have yet to solve the puzzle, I have been 'enlightened' through all that I have so far learned. God does exist. In whatever form you believe. It is your belief in anything that makes it your reality.

I am aware of the darkness that can sometimes consume a soul but I also know that the darkness can only thrive when you allow it too. The darkness, devil, demon or Satan or whatever term you wish to use, is trying to win the battle over life and will do whatever it takes including leading those feeling at their worst into the pits of darkness. The thing is, all of them are just a thought! Change your thoughts and those dark thoughts will no longer control you. We have all felt those dark thoughts at some point in our lives and it is then you may contemplate the existence of God and perhaps, if you believe that God has the same form as a human, place the blame on him because that is easier, however, I challenge you to close your eyes and picture something beautiful when the darkness threatens. Whatever the thought may be, a loved one, the sound of the ocean as the waves crash to the shore, a rain forest alive with the sounds of nature, a waterfall where a mermaid sits atop a high rock , beckoning you to come and play, or the sound of a child's laughter. Your mind can conjure up anything you like to make you feel great. This truly works.

God appears in may ways when you believe that the mind is an amazing creation of the very same energy. "What the mind can conceive.....it can achieve." If you wish for abundance in your life, then go ahead and have it! Just appreciate what you already have, giving thanks every day of your life. Go ahead and contemplate the existence of God and you will find you are really contemplating your own life. Mine is only one perspective of life. What is your perspective? Do you believe we are a three part being? Mind body and soul? Contemplate your own existence and you may be surprised.

Butterfly Philosopher – Discovery of the True Self

Butterfly Philosophy was created through the transformation of one life. Christianity has been forced underground by the World Order Church and Dr Clave Hammill, a WOC director, has just made a remarkable discovery. While exploring an old, boarded up old church, Hammill uncovers a Bible and a Christian pastors journal written in 1995 - the Josiah Files.Intrigued by his discovery and disillusioned with the beliefs of the World Order Church, Hammill begins to study the Bible and journal and soon turns to God - even Christianity has been outlawed by the WOC.The Josiah Files are a great threat to the World Order Church and their discovery places Hammill, his family, and other believers in grave danger. When Hammill is forced to join an underground believers, they soon find themselves pitted against New Age and occultic forces that will stop at nothing to gain control of the universe. They can only hope that their faith is strong enough to withstand the demonic forces pitted against them.

Are you a spiritual person? Then imagine a world where this is happening. That religion as we know it is forced to hide its beliefs because a new belief system had moved the people of the world so much that it no longer needed to hear the tainted truths about life. Truths tainted by the perspective of one person. The Bible was written to be a teacher to humans but those that would rule sought to take this beautiful truth and twist it in such a way that most Christians are afraid to just be. They are afraid of death because death is a punishment however if that were so, death would not happen to all of us at some point, saint and sinner alike! Surely we do not all deserve to be punished. How can you or I have come into this world a sinner when we come into this world as a baby not knowing life... unless we do? Have we been here before and therefore return to suffer for our sins of times past? Have we returned to work out our karma?
Jesus was a man on earth who learned that he was a part of one life. He tried to show us the way, his way because he felt at peace and many, many others have shared their way with us. To help us with our own journey to peace.

We are all part of one life and should honor the fact. We are truly the creators of life, we have been granted that power. Where did the power come from? Truth? I do not know. I am not going to guess because I simply do not know. If a man tells you he knows then he is telling you only from his perspective or perhaps through 'divine inspiration' but where does this 'divine inspiration' come from? And do not the filters in our own reasoning taint this inspiration enough that it becomes a story we have created? We all have an opinion of how or why we are here but that is exactly what we have. An opinion!
If your story is helpful to the betterment of mankind, then it will be heard and praised and if it is praised enough, others will seek to learn from you and the more that come to learn the more impressive becomes your word. Of course, the more impressive your word and the wider the following, the more your popularity will be noticed by those wishing to become like you. There will be those of course wanting to contain you and use you and who will take your word and build upon it for the own ends. This has happened throughout history and his-story oft has been used as a right to war among races.
Some religious movements have come and gone while others have endured through the faith of many. But what really is their faith when they follow the word of man? Still, there have been stories of gods and goddesses and only those who hold the attention of mankind endure. Egyptian gods and goddess beliefs held that attention for more than three thousand years and Christianity is treading on the heels of the same timeframe. Will it end soon in this Age of Aquarius? The Age of Knowledge? Or will it be forced underground as in the imagination of the author in the above novel? As with most belief systems, extremist groups take the innocent and beautiful belief of a living soul whether it be in the religions of today's society or new age philosophizing, and turn it into something that feels obligated and soon enough, greed turns that belief into a forced feeling that one would have us believe is faith without which , commits us to hell on earth and everlasting hell in death!

FREE Book
Enoch Tan – Creator of Mind Reality
Spiritual Mysteries Revealed
Once you know the truths revealed in this book, it will advance your understanding of God and the
Universe to a whole new level. The world without, the world in which we appear to inhabit and where everything fights for your attention and pretends to be of utmost importance, seems to disappear and a whole new world, the world within, begins to blossom. You begin the journey of true life and discover the truth of your existence.

Eckhart Tolle helped me to realise that the power of living is in this very moment! Being in the present moment changes everything! When we look at and are present in every action we perform now our power is impressive! Neale Walsch is another man to whom I am grateful for teaching me that life is as I say it is and not what another tells me. Whatever is happening right this minute is what it is, and I have the power to love and cherish each moment, or, if it is not what I want to be happening, then I have the power to change it.

We all want something to cling to that is familiar because it grounds us but the trouble with this in religions is that it gives power to another person’s belief and that is dangerous. We are all thinking beings made of the same ‘stuff’, cut me and I bleed, the same as you, and while some have the ability to reason well, casting doubt over all other reasoning, is this reason enough to place them higher then we ourselves are?

Take Jesus as an example. He did not believe he was better than any other human. He lived his life as proof of who he was and became a light for others to follow. He showed through example there was a better way to be! During a time of turmoil when humanity could not decide who it was in the scheme of the universe, Jesus was a fresh idea with great marketing via his disciples. And they sometimes too got it wrong, shunning those who asked for guidance because they worshipped differently. Are we not all God’s children?

I have had it explained to me on numerous occasions about God’s chosen people! For goodness sake, if that were true then many of us will perish when the Angel of Death comes among us and judges us for our deeds for not even The Pope is without sin! Look at the wealth within that church! I do not see it spread among the poor and those in need... without conditions. Yes I know you will say we are in need of great leaders for many are too blind to lead but beware the monster you build as that leader. Too much power and wealth will bring undone even the most humble of ‘men’! The human mind has not evolved so much that the conscious mind or ‘ego’ as Sigmund Freud termed it, could deny such power.

Religions have us believe that we were born sinners. In a court of law, even the criminals are considered innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. So go ahead and find a newly born baby guilty of sin and prove that beyond reasonable doubt. I challenge the highest authority! This original sin we carry according to the authors of the bible is only according to the author as beheld in a vision or inspirational thought taken to be from God! Were they high on anything at the time of this?

Even Jesus denied the material world and retired to the desert for 40 days and 40 nights, he then spoke with his father God and came back a changed man. You would too if you shunned the cares of the world, not having family to feed and no-one relying on so you could go off to be by yourself. You too would do a lot of thinking about human kind. You might ask many questions when at your lowest point through starvation and you might be tempted by the devil in your mind and you too might have a conversation with God and come back an ‘Enlightened’ person... if you listened to the wisdom of your thoughts. I tell you the thoughts you would have would be the same for anyone if you were quiet long enough to listen.

I am not against religion for any reason except where it allows those to follow blindly without explanation. The truth is only ever relative to the observer. How do we find that truth beyond doubt without relying on faith? If you cannot take responsibility for your own life and instead live by faith, then you live it by default. If you think a ‘stranger’ such as those with the apparent ‘highest authority being God’, can forgive your sins, then you live life by default by allowing another to tell you what is good or bad or ok!... according to them! You begin to believe that it is ok to be bad in the eyes of society because ‘God’s little helpers’ will forgive you. If you have deceived another for gain, then they are the ones to ask for forgiveness not a ‘figure’ who knows nothing of the slight. Can you be the new ‘light to follow’ and wish for another what you wish for yourself?

There are directions for living if you read the signs. The movie ’Bruce Almighty’ in a light hearted way, shows that signs are everywhere and while they are not always apparent because we are too indentified with our problems, they will always be there. A sign that has been in the background of your life but suddenly stands out is a sign to listen to and act upon. Don’t be frightened to take the risk. Everyday is a new day to shout to the world that you are the creator of your life. No other living soul could possibly live your life for you; no other person could possibly be you. There is the beauty of life!

Remember to remember who you really are.

'Nothing' is New

I have discovered that the older I get, the more time I have to think. The more I think, the more I want to know. The more I know, the more I understand that I know very little. Since Descartes (dubbed the 'Father of Modern Philosophy), most philosophers have believed that self-knowledge is importantly different from knowledge of the world external to oneself, including others' thoughts. Socrates, the Greek Philosopher once said, “The only thing I know is that I know nothing”. At least in the bigger picture of the universe I guess he realised how little he really knew.

If you remember the 80’s movie ‘The Never-ending Story’, you’ll remember the ‘nothing’ that threatened to take over 'Fantastica'. This ‘nothing’ represented the people’s lack of imagination in the real world. Eventually, through reading the book, young Bastian himself becomes a part of the story but his lack of confidence causes him to hesitate in taking the next step and save 'Fantastica' from the ‘nothing’.

My reason for relating this story is to remind you that confidence in every action determines the result. Your imagination, which as adults we sometimes forget we have, allows you to create new ideas and new ideas are the foundation for improving your future. Whether borrowed or unique, your idea has the flavour only you can add which in turn makes in new again. Your idea in action is the key to moving your life ahead in the direction that is right for you.

You may find yourself delaying the action by thinking. Is it the right or wrong thing to do? What if I fail? Let me tell you, there is no right and wrong way to act. There is only your way and if you do not act then you live life by default. You let life live you instead of you living your life! Tell your story the way it should be told. And that is by YOU. You are the author, the writer, the creator. Neale Walsch taught me that through his ‘Conversations with God’ series.

We have, as part of our very nature, the idea within of the best way to act relative to any situation. The trouble is that we have forgotten who we are. Our world is so busy being busy that we have forgotten to take the time to go within... and so we go without.

Take the time each day and remember to remember who you really are.

Welcome...

Hello and welcome to my blog spot. I have created a new place to express thoughts about life, from my perspective. I hope along the way you learn or at least re-think some things about yourself as I know I will learn many things from you. It is the small things we notice about others that leave a soft impression or lasting view of them, ourselves and especially society as a whole.

Some blogs will be long when it's obvious I have a lot on my mind. Others, like this one, will be short but nevertheless just as important for releasing my thoughts. It is a relief to shout out feelings and thoughts to the world without repercussions of a direct reaction as I am now finding the situation I'm in far from pleasurable. However, life goes on the same as it always will and I have to learn to go along with it in my own way.

Today is one of those days when I am not feeling the 'love' in my 'universe'. We all have days when our thinking is not as positive as it is on better days. It is called frustration when the things we want to change but feel unable to because of the repercussion conditioning our thinking minds believe that prevent us from enjoying life. Whose life is this anyway? Frustration can be harmful in that it shows resistance. And what you resist persists! However, frustration with your current situation can also be very helpful. If you are unhappy with the way things are then... change your mind. Frustration can turn into an idea of how to change things but you have to be open to receiving ideas of change. Intuition is the idea for change. Trust it. Use it. What have you got to lose... except frustration and an unhappy life!

Trust life! It may not always give you what you think you need or in the way you think it should happen. And it won't happen over night... But it will happen! Be open to the signs because there most certainly will be signs.

And so if you can take one day at a time... you can improve your life simply by changing your mind!
